Ep. 53 – Panic Shack and CVC

A special DOUBLE INTERVIEW this week as Meg and Romi from Panic Shack chat to Minty and Corinne ahead of one of their FIRST-EVER gigs at Clwb Ifor Bach on the 5th October….

CVC are also in the house – they’ve become part of the Cardiff music scene furniture already after only gigging for just under two years. They’ve reached that next pivotal point as artists, as they release their debut single “Jungle Fever” at Clwb Ifor Bach on the 5th October. So Cesco and Dave join in the fun to make it a wild occasion.

This interview is total mayhem….but we wouldn’t have it any other way! <3

Ep. 50 – Chroma

==== TRIGGER WARNING. EXPLICIT LANGUAGE/REFERENCES OF SEXUAL MISCONDUCT =====

Mix 4 people who love each other and care about the following issues:
Great music, the Welsh Language, female empowerment, the Welsh music scene (particularly Cardiff)
equals the recipe for a great interview!

It’s an honour to sit and share the mic with a band that I’ve wanted to chat to for so long!

Ahead of our show together at Gwdihw for the opening night of it’s 10th Birthday – the superior force that is Chroma chat to me about the journey of getting it together as a band in 2015…right up to the eve of the physical release of their latest Double A Side: Girls Talk/Nos Da Susanna!

Ep. 49 – Luke Priestley (Beers Over Tears/Stereobrain)

This is an inspirational chat I had with Luke Priestley aka Beers Over Tears/Stereobrain. Luke moved from Portsmouth to Cardiff in 2015 for university…but gradually became more interested in the music scene that surrounded the city.

Following on from some pretty memorable shows at Gwdihŵ, including putting on his first ever festival (Pŵer) – this week Luke puts on his first show ever at Clwb Ifor Bach….so I thought this was a great juncture to talk about his career path.

Also, Alexander from Isembard’s Wheel joins me to discuss his first gig in Cardiff, as a Cardiff citizen.
